As of 4:44pm Pacific Time, we have a New Moon in Pisces. The sign of intuition, dreams, and imagination, this lunation is a breath of fresh air in a turbulent world. Right now, all the planets are direct, which should give you a burst of clarity for the time being. It’s a short window though, because, come March 1st, Venus will retrograde and later next month, so will Mercury. Hopefully, the next few days will at least serve as an emotional reprieve from what’s been going on.
To help with that, I’ve pulled a card from the deck I created, the Refract & Reflect Oracle for each of the signs. As always, these are best read with your rising sign in mind, but you may also find more direction in the messages for your Sun, Moon, and any other major placement.
Aries. Visioneering.
It’s time to dream in 4k. When you think about what you want in your life (think at least six months from now, when the Full Moon will be in Pisces), really imagine it from every aspect. What does it feel like? Focus on the sensations, not the accomplishments. What do you want to feel on your skin? What do you want to smell in the air? What do you want to taste on your tongue?
Taurus. Breathe.
If you’re feeling constricted in any part of your life, loosen the strings. Start with your social obligations– and this may be personal or professional. Are there any long-standing appointments that you can either modify or drop? What feels stale? What needs refreshing?
Gemini. Past Life.
There is comfort in something from the past but you need to discern whether it truly nourishes you. Will it help you grow? There is a difference between familiarity that is stabilizing and that which is stifling. Just because you have a muscle memory with it doesn’t mean you have to keep going through the motions.
Cancer. Teacher.
Go out and explore! Take some time to learn from the world around you. Everything carries an energy or a memory. What’s in your immediate environment? What’s going on with the local plants and animals (pets included)? What do you notice?
Leo. Conflict.
If you are torn between two or more things (whether they are literal things or paths to take), pay attention to what keeps sneaking up on you. What creeps into your periphery when you’re not paying attention? You have to confront what’s whispering in your ear.
Virgo. Lover.
Relationships can be a dance or a chess-match. Or both. What are you up for right now though? Are you seeking a little flash of lightning or a long-term light at the end of a tunnel (and this true whether you’re single or partnered)? And if you’re not looking for a romantic relationship right now, how do you feel in your friendships?
Libra. Rage.
There is something in your daily routines, in the mundane things you encounter, that is nagging at you. Acknowledge how frustrating it really is. You may not have the power to change things right now, but you do have the option to redirect that anger in a productive way. Consider physical activities that can move that fire around; it could be as simple as walking around the block or dancing like no one is watching.
Scorpio. Patience.
Before you set an intention or a goal for this New Moon, I ask you to examine your previous relationship with patience. When there are setbacks or you’re not progressing at the rate you’d like, what do you do? Explore leaning into the liminal spaces between where you begin and where you’d like to go. Not everything can happen at once, but you can enjoy the sights of a detour.
Sagittarius. Flow.
You don’t have to overcome every obstacle that comes your way. I don’t mean “ignore the setbacks,” what I mean is, “be honest about whether you’re making things more difficult on yourself or not.” Are you glamorizing the struggle and the hustle? Do you think the more complicated thing is inherently more worthy or worthwhile? Sometimes the easy way is the best way.
Capricorn. Lies.
Sometimes we lie to ourselves about our own narratives. Sometimes those narratives are built upon the words of other people. For example, we may say we’re incapable of achieving or attaining something, but that’s probably because someone else repeated that over and over again in your past. Use this New Moon to clarify where and when those words were first spoken.
Aquarius. Rituals.
Reclaim your time and space. Establish a ritual that honors yourself and how you’d like to be seen and cared for. This ritual doesn’t have to be elaborate or expensive; it can be simple as taking 5 minutes every morning to practice breathwork. Or choosing a new– or specific– scent to wear every day. Just make it yours.
Pisces. Anchor.
Choose the people and situations that make you feel grounded. Define what “grounded” means to you. Does it mean you can drop any pretense? Does it mean you can try anything and be encouraged (within reason, don’t be too irresponsible!)? Who and what can keep you steady? Spend more time with them.
If you found these useful, please let me know! The next month and change will be rife with big and bumpy things, but we don’t have to do all alone.
