On November 30, 2024 at 10:21pm pacific time, we have a New Moon in Sagittarius. Ruled by Jupiter, this mutable sign is optimistic and broad in their hopes and dreams. What have you been seeking this season? What have you been seeking this whole year? Are you closer to that goal? Have you discovered something more captivating in your journey? This new moon sits firmly between the beginning of Mercury Retrograde as well as the beginning of Mars Retrograde. Distractions are imminent and motivation will be affected, but we can use this energy (and the cards below) as a compass to reorient ourselves.
(Please forgive the brief astrological run down and shorter readings, I’m recovering from a minor surgery earlier this week, so I’m a bit tired!)
Ideally, you should read these for your rising sign (if you know it), but you may also find value in reading for your Sun, Moon, or any other personal placement that’s very loud.

Aries: armor
“My past informs the present, but it does not dictate it.” Fourth House.
Dear Aries, protecting yourself doesn’t have to look like aggression or seclusion. With your ruling planet, Mars, retrograding in a few days, it may be time to rethink how you’ve been guarding yourself, especially when it comes to matters of the mind. What ideas have you been keeping close to the vest?
Taurus: ruminating
“My work is valuable.” Tenth House.
Dear Taurus, this season is not a time to doubt yourself. What you’re capable of and what you create is powerful. Second-guessing the choices you’ve made or the boundaries you’ve drawn is a waste of time. What have you been agonizing over these days and how much of that agony is self-inflicted?
Gemini: scoundrel
“I seek out and embrace my shadows.” Eighth House.
Dear Gemini, you need to be discerning about your desires. Like a moth to a flame, what you’re attracted to can hurt you if you’re not being careful. Are you still nursing a little heartache over something or someone? What can you learn about yourself from that time?
Cancer: lover
“Clarity can be found in the darkness.” Twelfth House.
Dear Cancer, do you remember what pleasure feels like in your body? This new moon is an invitation to fall back in love with everything your senses have to offer you. A little time alone can be a good thing, don’t discount that.
Leo: teacher
“My aspirations will lead me to the right community.” Eleventh House.
Dear Leo, your desires and creative inclinations have so much to offer you. Now is the time to indulge in whatever piques your curiosity. Don’t worry if you seem to be the only person you know interested in whatever it is that you’re feeling drawn to; you’ll find the right people soon enough.
Virgo: higher calling
“I transform others & they transform me.” Eighth House.
Dear Virgo, as the saying goes, what is for you will always be there. If you’ve recently felt like you missed out on something or were rejected in some way, please understand that that was just a hiccup. A minor speed bump. Something that’s perfectly right for you is just up ahead, you just have to trust in the process.

Libra: revelations
“Caring for what’s in my home is an act of love.” Fourth House.
Dear Libra, never be afraid of knowledge. Learning something new about something or someone only gives you more power in the end. If you’ve recently discovered something, try to find the lesson in it. If you’ve been too scared to ask the right questions, what’s holding you back? Your home and immediate environment (this includes people) will have something to help you get through it.
Scorpio: patron
“Collaborating with others enriches my life & work.” Seventh House.
Dear Scorpio, this new moon and upcoming season, it’s okay to open up a little to people. Getting a little vulnerable and allowing others to help you doesn’t mean you’re weak. It also doesn’t take away from your mysteriousness (you contain multitudes, don’t forget that!). There is reciprocity out there for you.
Sagittarius: softness
“I am building a home that is loving & supportive.” Fourth House.
Dear Sagittarius, it’s your season! Allow yourself to enjoy it. Allow yourself to turn your inner fire into comforting warmth. Allow people to give you love and support. Remember, you have control over who you let in and who gets to see you; you can be selective. Just be aware of when you’re being too aloof.
Capricorn: witch
“I move my body in ways that will heal me.” Sixth House.
Dear Capricorn, your powers begin in your body (but of course, they don’t end there). If you’ve been neglecting things like your self-care, sleep patterns, and any other health issues, now’s the season to tackle them. In the month ahead, investing in restorative practices and dream work will prime you for what you need to thrive in the new year.
Aquarius: take notes
“I welcome the darkness within me.” Eighth House.
Dear Aquarius, this new moon, pay attention to what’s going on in your communities (friends, co-workers, family, etc). Working with them could lead to discovering something new about yourself. If the past few weeks or months have been a struggle, I invite you to think about the maxim, “what you resist, persists.” What’s been nagging at you to deal with lately?
Pisces: flow
“I am thorough & meticulous whenever I am researching.” Ninth House.
Dear Pisces, this new moon, know when to follow the path of least resistance and when to dive down into the depths of things. You should feel reinvigorated by what you’re pursuing, especially in terms of your vocation and life purpose. This doesn’t mean things will feel easy, but they shouldn’t exhaust you too quickly.
Like the cards you see here? I made them! If you’d like to own a copy, you can buy them over at Make Playing Cards! They’re currently discounted (Small Business Saturday!), but please keep in mind that I will be raising the price the day after my birthday (so, they’ll go up on the 6th), and then again come the new year. So, this will be the cheapest they’ll ever be! And I’ve also made a bundle where you can get both decks at a significant discount (NOTE: the bundle does not have a booklet for the affirmation deck. Please read the whole description to know what you’ll be getting). Please let me know if you get them! I’m excited for people to start using them in their practice!
