Somehow, it’s already October? This is a month that is mired in heaviness and fog (it’s still eclipse season after all), but that doesn’t automatically translate to “bad.” It’s just… uncertainty.
And that kind of uncertainty makes sense given that this past month has felt like two (at least!). I’ve been working on a project that I’m eager to share in the weeks ahead, but now isn’t the time for sharing that just yet.
For now, let’s get into what each Human Design energy type can expect for the month ahead.
Note: These are mini versions of my newest option: Welcomes & Warnings
Generators.
(see above for your cards!)
Moon. Freya (Sexual Energy). Lavender.
Learn to trust your desires this month. Or at least, learn to acknowledge them. Do you feel comfortable in expressing what you want? Where or with whom are you feeling shame or just the desire to stay hidden? This is not necessarily advice or permission to act on said desires (and regarding the latter, you don’t need anyone else’s approval or permission); it is merely something to consider. Freya is a goddess of both love and war and when she has her sights set on something, she will go after it. When you feel your physical or emotional urges, do you stifle them? Do you ignore them, even to yourself? When you know you’re hungry, eat. When you know you’re touch-starved, reach out. When you’re feeling amorous, make time to get yourself off (really!). Let October be a month of exploring your relationship and understanding of sexuality and pleasure.
Manifesting Generators.
Balance. Oya (Abundance). Thistle.
Expand your concepts of abundance. How far away do your wildest dreams feel? Are you comfortable accepting gifts from others? Which relationships feel transactional in your life? How often do you tell yourself you’re not worth something? How often do you tell yourself something is impossible? October is an opportunity for you to weed out those thorny, intrusive, limiting beliefs so that you can fully prepare for a garden of growth. What were the patterns around money and spending when you were growing up? What financial stories do you still adhere to? Allow yourself to explore more possibilities. Oya, as a goddess of the weather, can illuminate and clear away the fog of doubt. When she does, what will remain? What seeds will you choose to plant?
Now… I SWEAR I SHUFFLED.
Projectors.
Moon. Oya (Abundance). Aconite.
Relief will come soon enough, you just have to wait out the storm. It’s easy to say “have faith” and it’s much harder to live it, but it’s still possible. Don’t doubt the decisions you’ve been making just because you can’t see the results yet. “The night is dark and full of terrors” but eventually, daylight will come again. Your actions have pierced their target, but for the majority of this month, it’s just too dark right now to know what’s happened. Furthermore… be mindful of slinging too many arrows off into the night. And look out for traps (aka subscription fees or hidden fees that could cause your bank account to dwindle). If we look at Oya, she brings storms and the fierce winds, which are deeply transformative. She can change everything as we know it… and you’ve been in lull, isn’t that a good thing?
(With two of these cards having shown up in the other two readings, we really are going through everything together. Projectors, allow people to help you or at least let them be there for you. Don’t be afraid to trust the people who have shown up for you, even in your darkest moments.)
Manifestors.
Skull. Mokoš (Fertile Timing). Alder.
Before you strike, understand how everything weaves together. October is a month of patience and observation. Mokoš is a Mother goddess and also oversees spinning, weaving, and even shearing the sheep. When we pull back and get perspective, the scope is broad and the timeline is long. So, if you’ve been looking for the right time to take action, what factors were you assessing? What goals were you hoping to achieve? Because once you take action, momentum will pick up. The ecosystem of your dreams and desires may be more closely connected than you may have realized. That being said, have your current aspirations changed over the past year. Have new developments taken place that altered your values. This month is a time to look at how your inner world and outer wold weave together. What do you want next for your tapestry?
Reflectors.
Void. Branwen (Patience). Moonwort.
Of all the energy types, you know that rushing through anything will cost you. October is no different. The goddess Branwen is here to remind you that no matter what [mostly] everyone else is doing around you, you operate differently and your gift of sensitivity and insight is needed now more than ever. With moonwort by your side, there are many mysteries to be unlocked this month, but the subsequent revelations will be revealed in the same slow manner. On a practical note, this is a great time to clear things out and clean off what’s no longer useful or important. Quite literally. In the past, shiny reflective surfaces were used for scrying… looking into the void could reveal new sights. When was the last time you uncovered something new about yourself? It’s a long process, of course, so make sure to take your time.
Decks featured (left to right): Deck of Many Destinies, Guidance of the Goddess, and The Seed and Sickle.
