Everything Old is New Again

Almost a new beginning but not quite. Consider this a soft launch. Technically, this domain has been online in some way for a while, but the content was sparse and it was more of a placeholder. Now? Well, I’m hesitant to say it’s a fully fledged site, but it’s definitely more of a landing page. Maybe even a hub?

A lot has happened since the last time I made an announcement on here. The most significant is that I started up a little membership for us on Ko-Fi! Supporting at a monthly rate gives you access to a bunch of goodies, including a tarot or oracle card pull of your very own! Elsewhere on the internet, I’ve also started posting on YouTube more regularly. For example, this was a fun video and I plan to make more of them:

Also, started streaming on Twitch.tv/UpwardBow as well. Still figuring out a schedule for that one, but we’ll get there when we get there. My intention was partly to use it for planetary remediation and fun hangouts with friends (gotta honor Venus more, ya know?).

As for the Substack? Truthfully, I’m unsure. Long-form writing is really difficult for me right now; some of it due to feeling like I need to reserve content for the aforementioned mediums, and some of it is just… being in a really low place right now. But nothing to it but to move through it, ya know? But I still like Substack for what it is- the newsletter format over there is king right now, and WordPress (the CMS I’m using for this very site you’re on!) isn’t meant for that. And Ko-Fi, while I love it, doesn’t have a great archival or search feature for its posts. There are also some very personal things I’ve considered getting into and Substack has really robust post options (namely, the audio post feature). TLDR; I’m not gonna drop Substack any time soon.

But I’m also here now and it is a breath of fresh air to “stand” in a place that’s mine, all mine again.

So, here’s to new beginnings.
